Politics And Condition Of Muslims, Why Aregbesola and Buhari Will Never Serve Islam. Ameer Ta’awun.
I am calling on all Nigerian Muslims, trying to awake our souls and to
unveil the facts about the states of Muslims in Nigeria which if not
addressed, the Islamic propagation will be a thing of the past and
Muslim will be subjected to humiliation and physical agony.
Since
Nigeria became Independent state, nothing has been better off for
Muslims. We have been struggling every day to reach atop and get
liberated from the havoc of evangelism or colonization but all to no
avail. Those we saw as our leaders who tried to balance the situation
between us and them were all assassinated. Their assassinations left a
scar in our hearts and make our expectations to be longer than expected
and from that, Nigeria resources have been circulating among minority
Christians at the expense of majority Muslims. Look at out our
industries, government parastatals private companies and judge if what I
am saying is wrong?
You will be amazed if I ask why is it that both
public primary and secondary schools that have majority of Muslim
population are producing majority of Christians in Higher Institutions.
Why is it so or is it a plan work to reduce the population of Muslim
going into higher institutions in order to be short of human resources?
Take a statistics of those dying every day in government owned hospitals
if majorly they will not be Muslims due to their financial constrained.
To be candid, Muslims have been wounded since colonial invasion or
evangelism and for anybody who intends to eradicate poverty in our dear
country and make Nigeria a better Nation, such person must see to the
affairs of Muslims, empower them and give them more recognition in all
parastatals. Come to think of how Muslim rally round president Buhari
and the governor of the State of Osun, Aregbesola, not knowing that
their being Muslims has nothing to do with Islamic development. Though
we are proud of Aregbesola as Muslims for millions of naira donated to
churches for evangelism since that was how Muslims were treated during
their (Christian) regime. Let it be cleared that we can have Muslim as
President, governor, ministers and commissioners but don’t ever expect
they will serve Islam. They are not like those who venture into politics
because of their mission for evangelism. Ours are nationalist and not
for Islam or for Islamic development.
Today we are at the village,
trying to make advancement to the city to take a flight and move higher
like them but we are yet to reach the bus stop let alone get to the
city. Until we have ability to compete with them, feed the hunger,
clothe the naked, heal the sick and shelter the homeless, we will always
remain where we are and Nigeria will never be a better country when
majority are left unattended to. Awake Muslims, no one is representing
us. Not even the governor or the President we are just happy that we
will be protected under them.
1436H THE YEAR OF AGONY IN THE MUSLIM WORLD
There is nothing to celebrate about as Muslims in the world begin a new
Islamic year on sad story and afflictions falling on their houses.
1436H which had just ended was full of sorrow, heartbreaking news,
killing, war and destruction of lives and properties which no one can
even tell what 1437H year will also bring and when the suffering in the
Muslim World will come to an end. We are just of the hope that one day,
peace will surely return to the Muslim world.
In the country of ours, Nigeria, nothing has changed with the status of
Muslim; and there is no hope that anything will change because our own
Muslims don’t understand what the situation is all about and the silent
war waging against us.
Buhari’s emergence has not given us freedom
to use Hijab in all government establishments or increase the workforce
of Muslims; none has it granted us to total freedom to leave as Allah
commands.
With these challenges facing Muslim which their causes are
being attributed to our love for Duniya, I think we should be more
conscious with our Deen than this temporary world and dedicate our lives
for the revival of Islam and liberation of Muslims from being subjected
to serfdom and for the well establishment of Islam in this New Year
1437 since this is our last chance on earth.
LET’S FORGET OUR DIFFERENCES, WE ARE ONE UMMAH
Allah has made the relationship of the Muslim to a Muslim more sacred
than any relationship, even that of blood, culture or nation. He has
united us into one ummah, the Muslim ummah, and has made us responsible
for each other. The relationship between the Muslims is a sacred one:
...A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor
humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while
saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. It is a serious evil for
a Muslim that he should look down upon his brother Muslim. All things
of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith; his blood, his
wealth and his honor. (Sahih Muslim Book 31, Number 6219.)
Our
diversity is what brings about our unity. We are the only Nation on
earth that enjoys unity despite our diversity. When you now wake up and
look deep into your heart and ask yourself what could prompt one Muslim
to wage war against his fellow Muslim brothers? You would find it
difficult to say is because of Islam.
Look at the Muslim world and
come to think of why should brothers of the same faith be killing
themselves, you will see that something has gone wrong with those
Muslims; not by their physical appearance but by what they conceive in
their minds which aggravated to hatred. No matter what, no single Muslim
must abuse talk of killing one another. But today everybody gives
judgment according to his will and not Allah’s will because of Duniyah.
We are human being and it is certain that the nature will speak of
itself. We are incomplete and not perfect so, whenever anyone of us
falls into mistakes we should be mindful of what we say. Who knows if
that mistake is what will make him a dweller of paradise or can someone
tell what will end his own deeds?
Let us try to embrace each other.
Sunni, Suffi, Qadriyah, Tijaniyah and others. Though we may differ in
aqeedah (creed) but that does meant we are not brothers since we all
believe in Allah and His Prophet Muhammad. We are one Ummah and we must
see ourselves as such. We must not develop hatred to each other and
doing that is what will lead to verbal and physical attack. Let Allah
judge with what left among us and what must concern us most is unity
among ourselves. Please, we are all brothers.
